UGL Premas has adopted an orchid as a living symbol of its corporate identity. After a careful selection process, a hybrid was officially registered on 5 August 2002 as 'Paravandrum Premas' with The Royal Horticulture Society of London.

The Paravandrum Premas was selected for several reasons. It carries a distinctive greenish-yellow colour, accompanied by a contrasting dark reddish lip, which stands out among the orchids. It is firm and slender in presentation and looks equally attractive as an individual orchid or as a spray of multiple blooms. Another highly unusual feature is that it exudes a light and fine fragrance. Most orchids have no scent.

More importantly it is a prolific bloomer and produces a hardy bloom, which is what UGL Premas is developing in our people and culture.
