UGL Premas Certified to ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001

Achieving both Certifications endorses our commitment to Environment, Health and Safety. These certifications also add value to our credential of delivering a safe and reliable service with care and concern for safety, environment and health.

For many years, we had already drawn out our own HSEQ (Health Safety Environment and Quality) policy. Being certified by Singapore Productivity and Standards Board has affirmed our standard and procedures are of international standard.

According to Mr Anthony Seah, Chief Executive Officer of UGL Premas, “Getting the certification was not easy. Having achieved the ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 Certifications validate that we have successfully developed an Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety Management System to achieve continual environmental improvement as well as effectively minimise risk in our FM Operations. With this achievement, it opens doors of opportunities to secure more projects.

By investing resources to review our current procedures and updating it to comply with guidelines set in the Standard is essential as it will help us to reduce direct and indirect cost as well as creating a conducive and hazard free working environment for staff. Furthermore, it provides an assurance to stakeholders that our FM procedures are well in-placed.”

Moving forward, we will continue to strive to deliver higher standard services to all our valued clients.

About the certifications
The ISO 14001 is a Standard that sets the requirements for developing an Environmental Management System (EMS), applicable to organisations wishing to operate in an environmentally sustainable manner.

The OHSAS 18001 is a Standard that sets the Occupational Health & Safety (OH &S) Management System, enabling organisations to control OH & S risks and improve its performance.
